Bogra Yogurt: The famous sweet of Bogra district located in the northern part of Bangladesh. Yogurt or yogurt is a type of dairy food that is prepared from the fermentation of milk bacteria. According to the locals, the SanatanGhosh community made Bogra known all over the country by making yoghurt. However, there is no market for yoghurt in the hands of those Ghoshs now. It has gone under other established traders, including the Muslim community. It is known that the first yoghurt was made in Sherpur of Bogra about two and a half years ago. GhetuGhosh of the Ghosh family of Sherpur in Bogra at that time started making the first yoghurt. From making sour curd, it is traditionally converted into sugar or sweet curd. And in the evolution of time, due to the contrast of taste, the versatile use of yoghurt started. Host's cooking and whey are made with sour yogurt. Sweet yoghurt goes to entertain the guests. Materials: To make yoghurt you need cow's milk, sugar, a small amount of old yoghurt and a clay pot or saree. Yogurt is made by boiling milk in a pan. Price: Special Sarar Yoghurt is priced at Rs. 180, ordinary yoghurt at Rs. 90-110 and white yoghurt at Rs. 100 per piece. There is a lot of demand for yogurt here. There are also some different brands of yoghurt available in the market at lower prices. Each of which is sold for 60 to 70 rupees. Yogurt is filled in small and large earthenware pots of different shapes. Earlier, yoghurt was sold in kg but now it is sold as per piece due to increase in the price of ingredients. Durability: The packet of yoghurt given locally is 4 to 5 days in winter and 2-3 days in hot season. Apart from the traditional Bogra yoghurt Bogra, it is also available in Dhaka and different districts of the country. Now it is going to the world market in Saudi Arabia, Middle East and other countries.
